Tom Sooter was saved while employed as a Vice-Detective on the police
department in Kansas City, Missouri. God called him to attend the Baptist
Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, where he graduated with a Bachelor
of Science degree. During those years of college he was employed by the
security department on campus and later the Dean of 600 single men.
Bro. Sooter has been Senior pastor for 25 years. Three years senior
pastor of a church in Ohio and from there 22 years senior pastor of Eagle
Heights Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, there he oversaw a
million dollar budget, K-12 grade Christian school, and a Bible institute.
After the death of his wife and youngest daughter, he resigned his
pastorate and accepted a position at the Harvest Baptist Church, Fort
Dodge, Iowa, as Vice Present of their Bible College and Staff Counselor.
There he met, fell in love with and married his present wife, Deborah,
who had lost her husband in death some years earlier. Deborah was on
staff at the same ministry.
He resigned in 2006 from his positions in Iowa to pursue his calling as
conference speaker, counselor, and author.
He is a King James Bible, Fundamental, Independent, Baptist Preacher
who specializes in counseling and spiritual warfare.
